A few weeks ago, I posted a blog about proposed legislation- SB 940- allowing the State Bar of California to certify mediators or, more accurately, certify ADR provider organizations. See Certifying Mediators.
The California Legislature is also considering another bill- SB 1141- that, if passed, could have a profound impact on mediators and the entire mediation community. It’s crucial that we stay informed and engaged.
The Southern California Mediation Association is hosting a virtual town hall to discuss both pieces of legislation on Wednesday, June 29, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. More information can be found at :

Everyone is welcome and I urge you to attend as these proposals can impact our profession!
…. Just something to think about!
